Heyyyy, Jude

We took it upon ourselves to revisit 11 roles of Jude Law, and determine which is the hottest. Is it the robot? The soldier? The Pope?! Read on to find out.

Dumbledore, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) and The Secrets of Dumbledore (2022)

Warner Bros. Pictures

Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore has more layers to him than Bertie Botts has bean flavors. He's brilliant, but willfully ignorant. He's powerful, with weak spots. He's cheerful, but has suffered. He is all these things, and so many more. He is not, however, hot. Sorry.
🔥

Yon-Rogg, Captain Marvel (2019)

Chuck Zlotnick/© Marvel Studios 2019

Carol Danvers' (Brie Larson) mentor-turned-enemy Yon-Rogg was teased by Law as a "devout warrior," a character who is "unquestioning, conservative, but inspirational." Not a great guy in the end, though his yellow eyes are quite piercing.

Vortigern, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword (2017)

Daniel Smith/Warner Bros

Charlie Hunnam played the real "hero" here, or whatever, but who doesn't love a bad guy?
🔥🔥

Pope Pius XIII, The Young Pope (2016)

Gianni Fiorito/HBO

Is it blasphemous to call the Pope hot?
🔥🔥

Dan, Closer (2004)

Clive Coote/Columbia Pictures

As it turns out, Dan is pretty awful. But that doesn't mean we wouldn't also "hey, stranger" him if we happened to see him on a busy street.
🔥🔥🔥

Watson, Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011)

Warner Bros. Pictures

Dorky, flustered Watson is so elementary. Isn't it about time we all graduated to hot Jude Law Watson?
🔥🔥🔥

Gigolo Joe, A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)

David James/Amblin/Dreamworks/WB/Kobal/REX/Shutterstock

He's hot! He's kind of almost sentient! He's still a robot, though, so points deducted!
🔥🔥🔥

Graham, The Holiday (2006)

Simon Mein/Columbia Pictures

Major weeper, cow dad, and Mr. Napkin Head. It's no wonder Graham softened Amanda's (Cameron Diaz) stone-cold heart enough to make her burst into tears.
🔥🔥🔥🔥

Alfie, Alfie (2004)

Melinda Sue Gordon/Paramount Pictures

That rascal Alfie may be a shameless, womanizing operator, but he's just so charming as he tells us exactly how he does it. How can we resist?
🔥🔥🔥🔥

Inman, Cold Mountain (2003)

Everett Collection

The mountain may be cold, but lovestruck Confederate Jude Law is so, so hot.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Dickie, The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)

Everett Collection

The outrageously beautiful Dickie Greenleaf is the true gold standard, and we're not just talking about his gleaming, sun-kissed ringlets. Who could blame Tom Ripley (Matt Damon) for wanting to be him so very desperately?
