'Blue Jasmine' costume designer on working with Woody, borrowing Chanel

For her Oscar-nominated role in Blue Jasmine, Cate Blanchett required a designer-label wardrobe worthy of a wilted New York socialite. The only problem? Costume designer Suzy Benzinger had a limited, more Nordstrom Rack-esque budget. 'Bones' star Emily Deschanel welcomes first child

Baby Bones has arrived. Emily Deschanel and husband David Hornsby, star of newbie comedy How to Be a Gentleman, welcomed a son today, her publicist tells EW. Henry Hornsby is the first child for the couple, who announced Deschanel’s pregnancy back in March. In May, the season finale of Bones revealed that Deschanel’s real-life pregnancy would be worked into the show, when her character told Booth (David Boreanaz) that she was pregnant. Read More...

'Book of Mormon' bows on Broadway: How offensive is it?

There were no protesters to be found outside NYC’s Eugene O’Neill Theatre on 49th St. yesterday evening. Ordinarily, that information wouldn’t be news, but last night wasn’t quite an ordinary occasion: It was the first preview performance of The Book of Mormon, the new musical by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez.
